// Who you'll talk to

Mike Shipman

I owned new-car dealerships for 25 years. I know how much history piles up in a company with dozens of employees: years of estimates, job files, schedules, and the way the work actually gets done.

AI companies now license that kind of real business history to train their systems. Most owners have no idea their old files might have value.

My job is simple. I'll tell you honestly whether your company looks like a fit. If it does, I'll help you apply. If it doesn't, I'll say so.

// The short version

  • 03Help applying if it's a yes
  • 04The buyer pays me, only if you're accepted. Never you.

// Confidentiality

Your customers' information comes first

On our call, we only talk about the kinds of records you keep. You don't share any files or customer data with me.

If you apply, the buyer explains how customer information is handled, including what gets removed or protected, in their own review and contract. You see all of it before you sign anything.

Have your own attorney or advisor look it over. I don't give legal, tax or privacy advice.

// Questions

What contractors ask first

Is it really free?

Yes. The data buyer pays me a referral fee, and only if your company is accepted. You never pay me anything.

What kind of data do they want?

Years of real business history: estimates, job files, change orders, schedules, CRM records, SOPs and internal email. Records should be mostly in English.

Do I lose my files?

No. You keep your originals. A buyer licenses a copy.

What about my customers' privacy?

The buyer explains exactly how customer information is handled in their review and contract, before anything is signed. Have your own attorney or advisor review it.

How much could it be worth?

It depends on the buyer's review of your records. I won't promise a number, and nobody honest can before that review. On our call I'll show you what buyers are publishing right now.

What if we're not a fit?

Then I'll tell you so on the call, plainly.

Does my trade qualify?

Remodelers and home builders are who I talk with most, but roofing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other contractors can qualify too. Size and years of records matter more than the trade.

How long does it take?

Our call is 20 minutes. After you apply, the buyer's review sets the timeline, and it varies from company to company.

Find out if your files qualify.

Twenty minutes. Free. A straight answer about your company.
